So, Happy New Year...

It's so nice to finally chat with you guys. Welcome to 2019! The beginning of the year is a very weird time for me. It's a time where everyone is reflecting on the previous year, and how well, or not so well, it went. And that's cool and all, but I can't do that, because I can never seem to accomplish all the things, I say I'm going to do within 365 days lol. Now, part of that is due to pure laziness, part is being too afraid to jump, and part is due to changes in vision.

This year, instead of making resolutions..I decided to make intentions. I remind myself of my intentions every day, and make sure to do something each day to make sure that I am moving with a purpose.

A resolution is a decision to solve a problem or a decision to do or not to do something. An intention isn't really something that can be measured along the way. You either keep or don't keep a resolution. Whereas, an intention is something that is ongoing, an action that you plan to follow. It can't just be made and left for dead until the end of the year. Make your intentions and make them good.

It was extremely annoying for me to see that year after year I wasn't accomplishing what I'd set out to do, because of course the only time I was thinking about it was at the end of the year, when it was practically time to start all over again.

In my personal opinion, intentions are less strict than resolutions.

This year make it your intention to...

-Develop your own mission statement/affirmations

-Make note of what you've done to take care of your mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual wellness

-Check things off your bucket list, or even create one

-Be REAL with yourself

...and whatever else you think you need to work towards to make your life better and easier.

Here we are 9 days into the New Year and I already feel "behind" on my intentions. Lol. Isn't that something. However, I can make excuses, or I can make changes. I choose the latter. This year I made my intentions really clear with myself. I don't do EVERYTHING I need to do every single day, but I do SOMETHING each day to make sure I'm on track.

According to social media, 2019 owes us ALL. So, let's get it!

I will have a successful year. I hope you all do as well.
