Get Off the Sidelines
November 1, 2016, I began this blog with the intention to just write and get my thoughts out there. A virtual diary of sorts. Not really knowing that others felt the same way I did, and definitely not even appreciating that fact once I did realize it.
I would like to take this time to say thank you to each and every person who has read, shared, commented on, replied to, etc. on anything I’ve posted over the last 3 years.
In these last 2 months, I’ve vowed to post every Friday until the end of the year. I decided that the time is now to get off of the sidelines and into the game. I have so many things I want to say and so many things I want to do. And no one to stop me, but me.
Even when the rest of the world is telling you no or you can’t, it’s still all up to you. What is it that you want to do? What is your passion? Find it. Chase it. And never let it go. If you’re working a 9-5 to fund your dream, so be it. Ain’t shit a handout. Get up and go do something!
I pay some attention to what some people say on social media, constantly complaining about their life and situation but sitting on they ass! You will never get anywhere doing the same thing you’ve been doing boo boo. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
It is the start of a new month, and it is full of new opportunities. Take these last 2 months of 2019 to tackle a goal. Whether it’s something you set out to do back in January, or something you just decided you needed to do. Make this count. Don’t let these weeks pass you by, and you have nothing to show for it.
(That being said, I am working on something that I plan to release really soon. So be on the look out for that.)
“Because I knew how hard I worked, I knew the pain, I knew the sacrifice, I knew the tears, I knew everything. Despite everything, I stuck to it. I toughed it out, and I kept my head in the game, even when the odds were against me.”- Shelly-Ann Fraser- Pryce
